STUDYING AT AROHAN

Academics
Arohan Academy English School has a proven self-designed curriculum developed by both NCERT and CBSE , the country’s best educational systems of the age. We nowhere go beyond the limit set by the board it is affiliated with. Our aim is to provide the essential academic, social and physical skills that a child needs in this challenging world. It ensures a positive, safe, nurturing environment to enhance learning by establishing and maintaining a high level of academic and behavioural expectations. Our curriculum concerns itself with the overall development of a child. While encouraging positive individual characteristics, it promotes a child’s responsibility, co-operation, creativity, respect for individuality and equality. The students of the school not only have high academic standards but also a high behavioural standard. We encourage the students for self study . Our teachers act as mentors and facilitators and are with the student and guide them every moment .
Curriculum Features
The school curriculum features the Interactive learning system for effective implementation the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and the Grading System of Assessment introduced by CBSE in the recent years. It focuses on the total growth of the developing child, touching hearts as well as minds and encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic development. The school is committed to extract the hidden talents of the students through activity based teaching and give each child an opportunity to display his/her talent at the best.
Text Books
The School follows the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) syllabus and for this purpose uses the NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training) text books. Text books and reference books by private publishers are also used wherever they are found to be necessary. The text books and notebooks are kept in the School premises. These are not taken home except with the permission of the Teachers or Principal. The School does not encourage parents to keep a separate set of textbooks at home. Further more it has been found that the lesson in the class and the self-study periods are usually adequate for the purposes of learning and understanding the material.
